• Beach & Park Restrictions: To preserve the natural beauty of Alanya’s coastline, smoking will be restricted in public parks and designated beach zones. Fines for violations are proposed at 5,000 TL.

• Dining & Socializing: Restaurants, cafes, and beach clubs may be required to limit their smoking-permitted outdoor areas to just 10% of their total square footage.

• Public Health: Increased inspections by local authorities to ensure a cleaner, smoke-free environment for families and tourists.

Alanya isn't alone in this transition. This "Step-by-Step" (Kademeli) plan mirrors successful strategies implemented in Northern Europe:

• Sweden & Finland: Both nations are nearing "Smoke-Free" status (less than 5% smoking population) through strict outdoor bans in public spaces and dining areas.

• United Kingdom: Recently proposed laws aimed at creating a "Smoke-Free Generation" by gradually raising the legal smoking age.
