To initiate the title deed transfer, you can scan the required documents into the Web Land Registry system. For documents from abroad, they need to be apostilled before being scanned. Additionally, you can make an appointment either by calling ALO181 or using the title deed appointment system. The requested documents must be submitted in person at the land registry office. After submission, you will receive SMS notifications regarding further steps.


Throughout the process, there are several important checks in place to prevent fraudulent activities, such as verifying that the name and signature used by the seller while purchasing the property match the ones on the selling documents.


The fees for the deed transfer will be provided in the SMS notifications you receive. Once the fees are paid, both the buyer and the seller need to be present at the appointment for the deed transfer.

In terms of the timeline, if all the necessary documents are ready, the application to the land registry office can be completed in one day. The entire title deed transfer process usually takes between 7 to 10 days, with the title deed being delivered upon completion. However, if the transfer process involves sending a power of attorney from abroad, it may take between 10 to 15 days depending on the timing of the power of attorney.


Regarding the cost of deed transfer transactions, as of 2023, it amounts to 4% of the total sales price plus an additional fee of 6000-6500 TL for housing title deed. If the title deed transfer is being carried out through a power of attorney, you can expect additional expenses of around 4000-5000 TL for sworn translator translation and notary services, on top of the aforementioned fees.
